London-based plastics chemical recycling solutions company, Itero has raised €6 million in funding, with €5 million from Infinity Recycling’s Circular Plastics Fund (CPF). Itero’s proprietary pyrolysis chemical recycling technology creates products from plastic waste streams by converting them into hydrocarbons recovers value-added hydrocarbon and further captures excess gas to generate heat for the hydrocarbon conversion process.

The pyrolysis chemical recycling of waste plastic allows the conversion of unprocessed liquefied waste plastic into the petrochemical industry’s raw material for further production of value-added materials while moving towards a circular economy to produce polymers and chemicals. This will further reduce the dependency on crude oil, while diverting end-of-life plastics from landfill to value chemical products.
