ZF and Freudenberg have joined hands to accelerate the development of fuel cell e-drive for commercial and off-road vehicles. The partnership will utilize the core competencies in fuel cell and battery systems from Freudenberg and expertise in electric components including drivelines, inverters, converters, compressors, software, and Energy Management Systems from ZF. The focus of the partnership will be on developing integrated fuel cell drives. This engagement will accelerate the adoption of fuel-cell powertrains in commercial vehicles and off-highway vehicles.
